When I left Mary Poppins in February I never thought that I would be coming back to it. Clearly we can't predict the future! In this crazy business of show that we are part of, there are many ups and down, a roller coaster of emotions and of adventures. All we can do is strap in and enjoy the ride. I've had an incredible time in Los Angeles, made some new friends in this cast and was able to catch up with a lot of old ones.

Bert has always been a special part for me, and the musical Mary Poppins has been such a wonderful journey. I've grown a lot as a performer and a human during my four years with the show, starting as a swing in the original Broadway production, to now leading the tour.

Today before half hour, the cast and crew gathered to wish happy trails to the departing folks, myself included. They rewrote lyrics to Jolly Holiday to mention each person and said a little something about them. People were crying, speeches were made that made more people cry, and we all performed a very emotionally fueled show. More tears were had during the bows and after the curtain had fallen, another group hug.

Then the show had to be packed up and trucked and shipped to the next destination: Hartford, Connecticut.

I now head home to New York after one more fun day in LA, going to enjoy the beach and a good restaurant, and then fly back to Ottawa on Tuesday where I'll pick up my dog and my car and drive back to NYC. I'll have six weeks in New York, taking classes and auditioning, before going to.... Can't announce it quite yet! Keep in touch with me on Twitter (nicolasdromard) or check my website, www.nicolasdromard.com for updates, videos and photos.

It's been great being Broadway World's first blogger and I hope you enjoyed reading my adventures and taking part of my shenanigans with me.

Until we meet again,
Nicolas
