Show At Barre Presents Rogelio Douglas Jr. Tonight, 5/1

Show At Barre presents "Rogelio Douglas Jr. One Night Only" tonight, May 1 at 8pm. He makes his mark as an actor, singer/songwriter, and dancer, moving between the worlds of television, theatre, dance and music. The concert will include special guest artist Brenna Whitaker and a mix of Douglas Jr.'s original music as well as covers by industry-leading artists including Gavin DeGraw, Cee Lo Green, The White Stripes, Jason Mraz, Otis Redding, Joe Cocker and more.

Douglas Jr. first gained attention as a lead tap dancer in RIVERDANCE: THE SHOW on Broadway, its world and national tours and in the film RIVERDANCE: LIVE FROM GENEVA. He is an original Broadway cast member of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda musical IN THE HEIGHTS, and starred as "Benny" in the production's first national tour. He also starred in the Broadway production of THE LITTLE MERMAID as "Sebastian The Crab." Off- Broadway, Rogelio appeared in the musical CELIA: THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF CELIA CRUZ and the 25th anniversary performance of DREAMGIRLS with Jennifer Holliday.

Shortly after his recent move to Los Angeles, Rogelio landed an appearance on NBC's hit comedy PARKS AND RECREATION. He also made a guest appearance on Kim Fields' HOLIDAY LOVE SPECIAL, which aired on TV One, where he had the opportunity to tap dance as well as sing in the company of Yolanda Adams, Gerald Albright and Kenny Lattimore.

Rogelio can often be found in the recording studio working on such diverse projects as vocal arranging on music written by Tony and Grammy Award-winning arranger Ben Sherman for Sesame Street and the Electric Company, as well as writing, singing and arranging for "UDraw," a popular Nintendo Wii video game.

At present, Rogelio is working on his first full-length album with Printz Board, Producer and Music Director for The Black Eyed Peas, under his label, Beets & Produce Music House and Production Company. He can currently be seen in the For The Record: Live series at Show At Barre.
