The Astra Dance company presents an evening of "sensual and surreal dance with two dark and passionate stories." Edgar Allan Poe’s “Eleonora” and Clive Barker’s “I Dreamed I Spoke In Another’s Language” are brought to life with beautiful dances and massive digital projections that flow through the pieces. The performances will be presented at the historic El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood opening with a Gala Red Carpet on Friday, Feb. 17 and playing thru Saturday, February 25th.
Clive Barker’s “I Dreamed I Spoke In Another’s Language” is being presented for the first time in dance and music specifically crafted around his poem.
Celebrating the first show of the season at the prestigious El Portal Theatre, Astra Dance Company will set the stage ablaze with passion and intensity through tango, ballet and modern dance which are just a few of the dance styles presented throughout the evening.
