Eileen Ivers Replaces Natalie MacMaster for Deck The Hall Holiday Show 12/22-23

Natalie MacMaster has cancelled her appearance at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 due to unforeseen circumstances. Replacing her is Irish fiddle virtuoso Eileen Ivers on Thursday, December 23, 2010, in a presentation of An Nollaig - An Irish Christmas.

Eileen Ivers is hailed as one of the great innovators and pioneers in the Celtic and World music genres. She's been called a "sensation" by Billboard magazine and "the Jimi Hendrix of the violin" by The New York Times. "She electrifies the crowd with a dazzling show of virtuoso playing" says The Irish Times.

Ivers' recording credits include over 80 contemporary and traditional albums and numerous movie scores. Ivers has worked with such acclaimed artists as Sting, Patti Smith, Hall & Oates, Paula Cole and The Chieftains, among others. She is well known for her Grammy award-winning work on Riverdance and has performed for presidents, royalty and with some of the most notable orchestras worldwide.
