WICKED closes at the Pantages Theatre on January 11, 2009. The company then begins performances in San Francisco at the Orpheum Theatre on January 27.

Carol Kane and David Garrison have joined the Los Angeles company of WICKED at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Kane was a member of the Los Angeles company when it opened in February 2007 and both were in the National Touring company when it played at the Pantages in June 2005. Kane, a two-time Emmy winner for "Taxi," plays Madame Morrible and Garrison, known for his role in the television show "Married With Children," plays The Wizard.

Finally, after six weeks of intense competition, Connie Zamora, a mother of four from Monrovia, was chosen from a field of 15 finalists as the winner of WANNABE WICKED, the summer-long competitive performance series held at Universal CityWalk. Hundreds of WICKED fans were on hand to watch Zamora win.

Connie Zamora was judged by theater industry professionals on the basis of vocal quality, performance delivery, vocal accuracy and overall performance. She entered the competition on the advice of her younger brother and sister-in-law. On winning the competition, Zamora says, "I'm absolutely speechless, and so incredibly happy. And I'm ready!"
