Los Angeles, CA - Show at Barre invites you to experience the soundtrack of a modern motion picture master. FOR THE RECORD: Baz Luhrmann celebrates the music from The Red Curtain Trilogy- Luhrmann's homage to the major theatrical conventions of Dance, Poetry and Song -STRICTLY BALLROOM, ROMEO + JULIET and MOULIN ROUGE. Playlist includes hit songs such as Lovefool, Kissing You, When Doves Cry, Love Is In The Air, Time After Time, Come What May, Your Song, Roxanne, Children Of The Revolution, Rhythm Of The Night and many more. The show will run Friday and Saturday evenings at Los Angeles' BARRE, vt through April 30th.
Conceived by Show at Barre Executive Producer/Director Shane Scheel and Musical Director Chris Bratten, the "For the Record" series combines East Coast-caliber theatrical and vocal talent with the style and spectacle of Los Angeles by showcasing the signature songs and iconic scenes from Hollywood's most legendary directors. The inaugural event of the series, FOR THE RECORD: TARANTINO-headlined by film, television, and Broadway star Tracie Thoms-will launch a full-scale national tour in 2012. The sell-out run of FOR THE RECORD: John Hughes, starring TV's Barrett Foa (NCIS: Los Angeles) played its final performance January 29th.

Jenna Leigh Green, star of Wicked and TV's Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Arielle Jacobs (Broadway's In the Heights), and Kate Reinders (Wicked), lead an exceptional lineup of performers, including Dionne Gipson, Ben D. Goldberg, Nick Haskell, Sarah Jayne Jensen, Ginifer King, Derek, Klena, Steve Mazurek, John Charles Meyer, Michael Motroni, Tinuke Oyefule, Jason Paige, Darryl Semira, Margaret Spirito, Brooke Tansley, Talia Thiesfield, Jessica KeeNan Wynn. FOR THE RECORD: Baz Luhrmann will preview Friday and Saturday, February 4-5, and hold red carpet opening night galas on February 11 and 12th. There will be a special Valentine's Day performance on Monday, February 14th which will offer a pre-fixe menu. Regular performances will resume every Friday and Saturday evening through April 30th at BARRE, VT, located at 1714 N. Vermont Ave. in Los Feliz. Showtime is 9pm, doors open at 8pm for dinner. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at www.showatbarre.com. Online advance tickets are strongly encouraged. Tickets (if available) can be purchased at the door one hour prior to show time.
