LAByrinth Theater Brings INTRINGULIS To LA 11/9-12/8

LAByrinth_Theater_Brings_INTRINGULIS_To_LA_20010101

LAByrinth Theater Company ventures west for their first production in Los Angeles, Carlo Albán's Intringulis. The play, created through LAB's unique development process, begins performances on November 9 at the Lillian Theatre and will run a strictly limited engagement of eleven performances only through December 8.

Child actor Carlo Albán was a normal American kid and a regular on Sesame Street, but in private he and his family struggled with their immigration status. The solo show weaves together music, language and culture, as Carlo tells the story of his family's move from Ecuador to the United States.

LAByrinth will be presenting Intringulis in repertory with the Elephant Theatre Company's west coast premiere production of The Little Flower of East Orange at the Lillian Theatre. Both shows are part of the recently announced partnership between the two ensemble-based theatre companies.

The Intringulis running schedule is as follows: Tuesday 11/9 (opening night), Weds 11/10, Thurs 11/11, Weds 11/17, Thurs 11/18, Tues 11/23, Weds 11/24, Weds 12/1, Thurs 12/2, Tues 12/7 and Weds 12/8. All performances begin at 8pm. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased by visiting www.labtheater.org. THE MEDIA IS INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE OPENING NIGHT PERFORMANCE ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9.

The Lillian Theatre is located at 1076 N. Lillian Way (one block west of Vine, just off Santa Monica Boulevard), in Hollywood. Street parking is available.

LAByrinth Theater Company
(Artistic Directors Stephen Adly Guirgis, Mimi O'Donnell, Yul Vázquez; Managing Director Danny Feldman) was founded in 1992 by a group of actors who wanted to push their artistic limits, hone their craft, and create new plays that truly reflected their experience. Today, LAByrinth is comprised of more than 120 established and emerging theatre artists from a wide array of cultural perspectives. The inclusive, multicultural ensemble encourages all members to write, act, direct, and design, and supports multidisciplinary growth and exploration in the creation of daring new work that celebrates the diversity of its New York City home. Now in its nineteenth season, LAByrinth has developed over 300 new plays and staged 51 productions, including The Little Flower of East Orange, UNCONDITIONAL (2008), A View from 151st Street and Jack Goes Boating (2007), A Small, Melodramatic Story and School of The Americas (2006), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (2005), Sailor's Song and Guinea Pig Solo (2004), Dutch Heart of Man and Dirty Story (2003), Our Lady of 121st Street (2002), Where's My Money?
