Musical Mondays Los Angeles (Ryan O'Connor and Scott Nevins, Co-Producers/Hosts) have announced that October will be DIVA MONTH at Eleven Nightclub in West Hollywood. Each Monday in October, Musical Mondays Los Angeles will honor a different diva of the American musical theatre stage with a rotating cast of notable Broadway, TV and film stars.
Monday, October 3rd, 10 PM - "PATTI NIGHT"
In celebration for her much anticipated October 4th concert at Reprise Theatre prior to her return to Broadway in An Evening With Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin, O'Connor and Nevins, along with VJ Keith Jacobson, have assembled a jam-packed celebration of Patti LuPone in both video and live performance. Celebrating LuPone's musical theatre achievements, including Evita, The Baker's Wife, Sunset Boulevard, Oliver, Les Miserables, Sweeney Tod, Gypsy, Company and more featuring Milena Govic (Law & Order, Rescue Me, CABARET), Jen Malenke (HSM: Get In The Picture, INTO THE WOODS) Ginifer King (BWay's Gyspy, Steel Magnolias) Micah McCain (internet sensation Bonjour, Girl) & more. Monday, October 17th, 10 PM - "BERNADETTE NIGHT"
Celebrating her recent return to the Broadway stage in the revival of Follies, Musical Mondays Los Angeles will once again gather a bevy of musical theatre talent to sing the songs of Ms Peters career, including selections from Song & Dance, Mack & Mabel, Sunday In the Park With George, Into the Woods, Annie Get Your Gun, A Little Night Music, Follies & more. Performers include Von Smith (American Idol, For the Record) Kathy Deitch (BWay: Wicked, Footloose) & more.
Monday, October 24th, 10 PM - "Jimmy James & HIS DIVAS"
Rounding out Musical Mondays Los Angeles celebration of all things diva, they will welcome the one man who is all divas combined. World famous entertainer and vocal impressionist Jimmy James will impart his arsenal of divas on West Hollywood, including impressions of Judy Garland, Barbra Streisand, Cher, Bette Davis, Eartha Kitt, Marilyn Monroe & more!
Musical Mondays Los Angeles is a weekly celebration of musical theatre in West Hollywood that has been running every Monday since April 2009. Co-produced and hosted by Ryan O'Connor (Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search For the Next TV Star) & Scott Nevins (truTV's Smoking Gun Presents) and featuring VJ KEITH JACOBSON, "MuMo LA" has become a WeHo staple. Every Monday night at ELEVEN NIGHTCLUB in West Hollywood, VJ Keith Jacobson plays videos from Broadway and movie musicals followed by a LIVE show at 10 PM hosted by O'Connor and Nevins. Past Musical Mondays LA performers have included Marissa Jaret Winokur, Shoshana Bean, Eden Espinosa, Lorna Luft, Barrett Foa, Nikki M James & many, many more.
Diva Month at Musical Mondays runs the first four Mondays in October. "Patti Night" (A Patti LuPone Tribute) will be held October 3rd at 10 PM. "Bette Night" (A Bette Midler Tribute) will be held October 10th at 10 PM. "Bernadette Night" (A Bernadette Peters Tribute) will be held October 17th at 10 Pm and "Jimmy James & His Divas" will be held October 24th at 10 PM. All performances will be held at ELEVEN NIGHTCLUB in West Hollywood. Admission to Musical Mondays Los Angeles is always FREE.
