THE COMPLETE WORKS OF William Shakespeare (abridged) is a hilariously-irreverent 90-minute ride through the entire Shakespearean canon – no prior experience necessary. Three actors will cover all 37 of Shakespeare's plays in a lightning-paced over-the-top performance that boasts the (self-proclaimed fastest version of HAMLET, clocking in at 43 seconds. Created by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield of the Reduced Shakespeare Company and has been performed all over the world.
Leading NVA's version of the play as director is Ensemble Member Justin Lang. Mr. Lang just finished directing Shakespeare's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS at NVA and has a long history of performing Shakespeare with such companies as Poor Players, Intrepid Shakespeare, and NVA. Mr. Lang has performed as an actor at NVA as Orlando in AS YOU LIKE IT and George in OF MICE AND MEN and he currently serves at the Education and Outreach Manager, leading NVA's awarded Education program, THE SHAKESPEARE NETWORK.
Actor and Ensemble Member Kyle Lucy has appeared onstage at NVA in The Comedy of Errors (Dromio of Syracuse), Of Mice and Men (Curley), Ah, Wilderness! (Richard), Death of a Salesman (Bernard), Waving Goodbye (Boggy), Into the Woods (Steward) and Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Schmendiman). He is currently a student at MIRACOSTA COLLEGE where he has appeared in Anything Goes (Purser), Our Town (Joe Crowell/Sam Craig), Assassins (Lee Harvey Oswald), All My Sons (Frank Lubey) and Lend Me A Tenor (Bellhop).
Actor Durwood Murray has appeared with NVA in The Comedy of Errors and Of Mice and Men. He previously appeared in Intrepid Shakespeare Company's King John, Romeo and Juliet, and Henry II. He can also be seen weekly on San Diego's #1 sketch comedy show, "The House," as a performer, writer, and producer. Durwood received his BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University.
