Neil Berg's 100 Years Of Broadway Debuts at Three Stages

Neil-Bergs-100-Years-Of-Broadway-Debuts-at-Three-Stages-20010101

Take five dazzling Broadway stars-including the woman who has performed the female lead for "The Phantom of the Opera" on Broadway longer than any other actress in the show's 23 year history-and add an all-star Broadway band performing favorite songs from the best-loved musicals in history, and there you have it: Neil Berg's widely acclaimed 100 Years of Broadway.

Executive Director Dave Pier noted that "Neil has been doing this-- and doing it very well-for many years. It's a must-see show for any real Broadway aficionado."

Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway will perform in Three Stages on Sunday, December 4 at 7 pm. Tickets are $25-39, with premium tickets available for $45; they are available online at www.threestages.net or from Three Stages Ticket Office at 916-608-6888 from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, and two hours before show time. Three Stages is located on the west side of Folsom Lake College campus in Folsom, CA, facing East Bidwell Street.

According to San Francisco's KABC radio theater critic Jerry Friedman, "This revue features some of the best songs from the best Broadway shows, all sung by some of the most talented performers working today singing many of the hit songs that they have sung on Broadway."

Past productions of this popular show have featured Betty Buckley, Liz Callaway, Ben Vereen, and Alex Santoriello, among others. For the performance at Three Stages, the cast will include:

Ron Bohmer has starred on Broadway and national tour as the Phantom in The Phantom Of The Opera, Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard (Jefferson Award nomination), as The Scarlet Pimpernel (National Broadway Theatre Award nomination), Alex in Aspects Of Love (LA Robby award), the evil Sir Percival Glyde in The Woman in White, Enjolras in Les Miserables, Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof and as Coach Bolton in the cultural phenomenon Disney's High School Musical. He most recently starred on Broadway as Father in Ragtime, a role he originated at the Kennedy Center. He is married to actress/author Sandra Joseph.

Sandra Joseph has played the coveted role of Christine Daae, the female lead in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway and all across the country to critical acclaim. She has the distinct honor of being Phantom's leading lady on Broadway longer than any other actress in the show's twenty-two year history. Sandra is currently writing a memoir entitled "Phantom Girl" about her journey from Detroit to Broadway and the decade she spent in Broadway's most successful show. Television credits include Law and Order; Law and Order Criminal Intent; Late Night with Conan O'Brien; One Life to Live; As the World Turns, as well as guest appearances on The View and The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Ted Louis Levy collaborated with Gregory Hines on the Choreography of Jelly's Last Jam, for which he received a TONY NOMINATION, DRAMA DESK NOMINATION and the 1993 OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE AWARD. Ted was awarded an EMMY AWARD for his television debut performance in the PBS Special Precious Memories, and appeared in Spike Lee's Malcolm X for his film debut. He made his directorial debut as Director of Savion Glover's "Dancing Under The Stars", and assisted in the choreography of Broadway's Tony Award-winning hit "Bring In 'Da Noise! Bring In 'Da Funk!"

On Broadway, Natalie Toro created the role of Madame DeFarge in the new musical, "A Tale of Two Cities". She recently won the Best Supporting Actress Award by Sarasota Magazine for her portrayal of Madame DeFarge in "A Tale of Two Cities" at The Asolo Repertory Theater. She made her Broadway debut as Eponine in "Les Miserables". From there, she went on to play Grizabella in "CATS" in the National Tour. Her television credits have been on "Law and Order" and "Law and Order SVU".

Chuck Wagner has performed on Broadway as Athos in "The Three Musketeers," Rapunzel's Prince in the original Broadway cast of Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods," Javert in "Les Misèrables," Van Helsing in "Dracula" and as "The Beast" in Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" (which he premiered at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre).Television appearances include "General Hospital," "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Dynasty," "Matlock," "As the World Turns," and "The Late Show with David Letterman."

Neil Berg is the composer/lyricist of the hit Off-Broadway musical "The Prince and the Pauper," which ran for two years at the Lambs Theater in New York City. Neil is currently the composer for the new Broadway-bound musical "Grumpy Old Men," based on the Warner Brothers movie classic starring Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau, and is also currently collaborating with Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Robert Schenkkan on a new rock musical called "The Twelve." Neil is the creator and co-producer of Neil Berg's "100 Years of Broadway," which is now the number one Broadway touring concert in the United States, playing in over 120 cities in 2010/2011.
