Los Angeles Ovation award nominee Paul Stroili will star in the classic sex farce, A Flea in Her Ear at the Edgemar Center for the Arts in Santa Monica, California. Dates for the extremely limited engagement are June 2 - 12, 2011.

Stroili, who portrays the dual roles of "Victor-Emmanuel Chandel" (the faithful husband) and "Poche" (a drunken hotel porter who bears a striking resemblance to "Victor") is delighted to be involved in the ground-breaking farce. "Kudos to Edgemar and this wonderful cast for taking a risk with this show..." says Stroili. "In the current theatrical climate, there are so few people dusting off these iconic comedies, and A Flea in Her Ear is a classic in every sense of the word. Mistaken identities, infidelities, drunken brawling, sex, gunplay... it's like a slow Tuesday at the Sheen house."

Familiar to audiences in Los Angeles, Chicago, and the rest of the country for his award-winning solo show Straight Up with a Twist, Mr. Stroili enjoyed a twice-extended Off-Broadway run in 2008, after nearly 1,000 nationwide performances of the critically acclaimed comedy. His most recent film credits include the soon-to-be-released Karaoke Man directed by Michael Petty and co-starring James Denton; and Gratitude, directed by Cyrus Mirakhor. In addition to his acting skills, Paul currently serves as Managing Director for LA's award-winning SeaGlass Theatre. In 2010 he directed the company's highly lauded comedy Of Grapes and Nuts for which he received a Garland Award nomination from critics of Back Stage Magazine. Along with Michael Sterling, Mr. Stroili also co-hosts the top-rated State of the Arts radio series presented by Breakdown Services and broadcast live each Monday on the LATalkRadio.com Network.

Edgemar's version of A Flea in Her Ear (penned by French playwright George Feydeau in 1907), is Barnett Shaw's English translation for the 1969 Broadway production directed by Gower Champion. Samara Friedman and Selga Sanders serve as Edgemar's producers with Doug Kaback directing. Marie Wilson co-stars as Chandel's mischievous wife "Yvonne". Ms. Wilson is best known for creating the role of "Karen Wexler" on the hit ABC Daytime Drama, Port Charles as well as playing "Meg Snyder" on CBS TV's As the World Turns. Rounding out the cast are Bryan Bertone, Aria Bruss, Paul Buxton, Josh Fishbein, Samara Friedman, Mark Gadbois, Damon Lira, Chris Lohr, Chi Chi Navarro, Scott Roberts, Selga Sanders, Theresa Tilly and Clare Trautvetter.

Jennifer Schwartz serves as Assistant Director. Technical Direction is by Fernando Silva with Set Design by Travis Tuyen Thi. Lighting Design is by Juliet Klanchar and Costume Design is by Maro Parian. Prop Master is Jesse Satterlee.

A Flea in Her Ear will be presented Thursday through Saturdays* at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 2:00 pm at the Edgemar Center for the Arts, 2437 Main Street in Santa Monica, CA 90405. For tickets and more information, visit www.edgemarcenter.org.
