Carol Channing has seen her friend Richard Skipper don the dresses, wigs, and make up that transform him into one of the premiere Channing impersonators in America. But when he comes to visit her this week to celebrate his birthday, Carol requested he do a special show as himself - and how could he say no to Carol? It took some last minute planning with local producer Les Michaels to make it happen, but on Sunday, February 13th at 8 PM, Richard will take the stage at Blame It On Midnight in Palm Springs in "To Carol Channing With Love", benefitting The Dr. Carol Channing and Harry Kullijian Foundation For The Arts, to help raise awareness to the devastating cuts in music and arts programs in our public schools.

Richard and Carol have been friends for longer than they can remember and about her friend, Ms. Channing says: "Richard Skipper is a true Musical Comedy star". And she should know, being one of the most beloved stars of Broadway, movies, and television, and the recent recipient of her very own star on the famous Palm Canyon Drive Walk Of Stars, for which Mr. Skipper flew here just for the happy occasion and celebration last October.

"To Carol Channing With Love" will feature a trio consisting of David Hirsch on piano, Jay Lewis on drums, and George Cebra on bass. The Sunday, February 13, 2010 show time is 8 PM with a cover of $20. Reservations for dinner from 6 to 6:30 PM will help assure seating for the event, which is expected to sell out, with cocktail only options available if seating allows, and some advance tickets available on line through Brown Paper Tickets. Blame It On Midnight is located at 777 E. Tahquitz Canyon Way in Palm Springs. Reservations are requested by calling 760-323-1200.
