STAGE TUBE: LA Celebrates MY THREE SONS Day with Stanley and Barry Livingston and More

Tim Considine, Don Grady, Barry Livingston and his brother Stanley Livingston were fortunate as actors to have been involved in one of the publics fondest memories — a television series called "MY THREE SONS." Each of these famous sons had already developed amazing industry pedigrees in film and television before the show and each went on to conquer acting, producing and directing challenges with Academy nominated films to hits on great white way of Broadway.

The show went on the air in 1960 and lasted an incredible 12 years and a record breaking 480 episodes. The series became television's second-longest running situation comedy. Now, 52 years later... MY THREE SONS is still playing all over the world and shows no signs of disappearing from view any time soon. The series has found a new home on the ME-TV NETWORK where it airs every morning at 8:30 AM.

"MY THREE SONS" has, once again, distinguished itself. The show was recently recognized and honored by the Los Angeles City Council who declared MAY 16th, 2012 "MY THREE SONS DAY in LOS ANGELES". Council Member, Tom LeBonge (Hollywood District), presided over the ceremony that took place inside the John Ferraro Council Chambers at City Hall. There were many guests present, including some of Douglas family peers from various classic TV shows: Paul Petersen (Donna Reed), Butch Patrick (The Munsters), David Stollery (Spin and Marty), James Victor (Zorro).

"It's hard to find anything that can top being on a popular and beloved TV series that lasted 12 years - but being remembered - and honored - fifty years later... now that's something!" says Stanley Livingston.

Barry Livingston added, "My Three Sons was and is classic TV Americana, featuring simpler stories of family values, told with humor and it is such a great honor to have that recognized."

Tim Considine commented, "We were privileges to work with people like Fred McMurray, Bill Frawley, Bill Demarest and the one who is missing, there were actually four 'three sons' Don Grady, who broke his leg or he would be here himself."

Tina Cole, who portrayed Katie on the hit series remarked "I was really honored to play Katie, the wife of Robbie. And these guys were wonderful to welcome me into the family ... what had been to that point an all male show."
