Segerstrom Center for the Arts is increasing its audience accessibility features with audio description and open captioning to help heighten the experience for guests with unique needs or disabilities better enjoy performances at the Center.
During the Saturday, August 4 matinee of Broadway’s Tony Award®-winning La Cage aux Folles, the Center will introduce its new audio description service for those with visual impairments to augment the current American Sign Language interpretation for the hearing impaired. Then, beginning with the November 17 performance of another great Tony winner, Memphis, the Center will provide open captioning for all Broadway and Curtain Call series performances.
