THE YOUNG IDEA PROJECT Presents Free Events Celebrating Noel Coward 6/26-6/28

With the generous support of the The Noël Coward Foundation, Antaeus presents a weekend of events celebrating the master writer in all of his manifestations! Drawing on the title of an early Coward play, Antaeus' THE YOUNG IDEA PROJECT joyfully advances our mission of keeping great classics vibrantly alive for the next generation of artists and audiences. Join us as dozens of young, upcoming professional actors perform 3 staged readings of some of Coward's most fascinating, lesser-known work; brought to life by three young directors, all mentored by noted, seasoned professionals. The YOUNG IDEA Project extends its reach to new young audiences - offering a group of 16 - 25 year olds their first exposure to Coward's droll, witty and enchanted world.

Mentors include noted Australian actor and Coward expert Barry Creyton, acclaimed British film and theater director Jonathan Lynn along with local favorite Coward aficionado Art Manke!

This special weekend features familiar Antaean faces - each leading workshops and roundtables on Coward The Man, The Crooner, The Spy & The Playwright- meet the amazing Antaeans Nike Doukas, Harry Groener, Christina Pickles, Kitty Swink, and others as they teach young professional actors all their trade secrets about the man and his work. After every performance, guests can stay and mingle, and even sing cabaret songs!

THE YOUNG IDEA will be presented over one weekend - Friday, June 26th (starting at 6:oopm), Saturday, June 27th (starting at 2pm) and Sunday, June 28th (starting at noon) at Deaf West Theatre, 5112 Lankershim Blvd. in North Hollywood. SEATING IS LIMITED, SO RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST! TICKETS: FREE for anyone between the ages of 16-25, SUGGESTED MINIMUM DONATION OF $10.00 FOR ANYONE ELSE. The Antaeus Company, L.A.'s Classical Theater Ensemble, has a 15 year history of providing quality classical theater in Los Angeles.
