This show was developed by New York-based experimental company Les Freres Corbusier. Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson first premiered in January 2008 in Culver City at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, produced by Center Theatre Group and later opened in 2009 at The Public Theater in New York for a three month run which earned it an Outer Critics Circle Award for outstanding new Off Broadway musical. It then opened on Broadway at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre on October 13, 2010. It won a Drama Desk Award for Best Book of a Musical in 2011 as well as Tony award nominations for Best Book and Best Scene Design of a Musical in 2011.
BBAJ is a fiery, merciless satire. It creates this heightened, anachronistic world that meshes the politics of Andrew Jackson in the 19th century with the liberating, expressive musicality of contemporary music and pop culture. This "rockstar" world is emotional, combative, and aggressive which is not at all dissimilar to the political climate that exists today. As we experience Jackson's quest for democracy we are constantly reminded of our own political questions and responsibility. BBAJ is fearless and passionate in its journey to comment on and shake up one's perspective on American politics and culture.

ORANGE COUNTY PREMIERE!
TIME STANDS STILL
by Donald Margulies
Written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies and a Tony nominee for Best Play, Time Stands Still is an unflinching examination of relationships and the media-saturated world in which we live. Margulies himself stated the purpose of the play was "to capture a sense of the way we live now, to dramatize the things that thinking, feeling, moral people are thinking about and struggle with."
To do so, Margulies takes a compelling look at what happens when ordinary life is refracted through the lens of war. After barely surviving a bomb blast in Iraq, photojournalist Sarah Goodwin finds herself caught in a tug of war between her career and the quiet of domestic life. Returning home into the care of her long-time lover, James, Sarah's caught off-guard by his desire for family. With wit and intelligence, Time Stands Still follows two people with a shared passion for documenting the realities of war as they confront the prospect of a more conventional life.
