Los Angeles Ovation Award nominee CISSY CONNER stars as Katharine Hepburn in TEA AT FIVE March 26 - May 2, 2010 at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center in North Hollywood, CA, it was announced today by Producer Mary Todhunter of RBI Productions in Los Angeles.

An emotional journey from a well-heeled Yankee childhood to the winner of 4 Oscars, Tea at Five was written by Matthew Lombardo, based on Hepburn's 1991 New York Times, #1 Best-Selling book - Me: Stories of My Life. (Lombardo's new play Looped, which centers on Tallulah Bankhead and stars Valerie Harper, is currently in previews with a Broadway opening slated for March 14, 2010.)

Tea at Five's first act finds 31-year-old Katharine Hepburn in full retreat at her family's beach estate in Connecticut. Branded "Box Office Poison" after a string of movie flops, she nurses her psychic wounds and awaits the decision on whether she will get the coveted role of Scarlet O'Hara in Gone with the Wind. She reflects on the dizzying heights and emotional lows of her upbringing and her adventures in show business.

Act two takes place in 1983, after the 76-year-old actress (afflicted with Parkinson's disease) was injured in a car crash. The accident affords the now-legendary star an opportunity to reflect on the triumphs of her career and her heart-breaking romance with Spencer Tracy.

A native of the deep South, Cissy Conner has not only received accolades and awards for character work in plays by Tennessee Williams, Truman Capote and Benjamin Bradley; and for her work in music and musical theatre, but garnered trophies and Blue ribbons for outstanding oratory and debate competitions throughout the country.

Ms. Conner is best known for her stage work, particularly in the arena of one-woman shows. In 2003, she received a Los Angeles Ovation Award nomination as Lead Actress for her portrayal of Marlene Dietrich in the play An Evening with Marlene. In 2005, she received a nomination for an *ADA Award from the San Fernando VAlley Theatre League for the world premiere of her self-penned, one-woman, critically acclaimed hit comedy Plane Crazy, also produced by Mary Todhunter.

Tea at Five is directed by Cissy Conner; Presented by LA Cisco Entertainment; and Produced by Mary Todhunter of RBI Pictures, LLC. Pre-Production Photography is by Gene Wolande. Production Stills: Ed Krieger. Graphic Design: Paul Stroili. Set Decoration is by Scott Umfress.
