Like a lot of good music, Riot Fest began in a basement, when a rabid fan wanted to connect his favorite bands with like-minded music lovers in Chicago. Fifteen years and 1,500+ bands later, Riot Fest returns to Douglas Park with a stacked array of bands to score the festivities—featuring many friends of Riot Fest returning to pay tribute to the festival and its loyal fans, alongside iconic and emerging artists who reflect the broad musical tastes the festival is known for.

The biggest names in metal and rock come together this August 16-18 for PSYCHO LAS VEGAS 2019 at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. The daily lineup for this celebration of rock n' roll will feature everything fans have come to know and love. Today, SHOWTIME announced that Francis and the Lights will headline the music line-up at The SHOWTIME House on Monday, March 11 at South by Southwest® (SXSW®) Conference and Festivals, located at Clive Bar on Rainey Street. Monday's performance is part of The SHOWTIME House Of Music, celebrating music documentaries SHANGRI-LA and WU-TANG CLAN: OF MICS AND MEN, with curated music inspired by Rick Rubin. That night will also feature a DJ performance by Peanut Butter Wolf. Francis And The Lights is featured in the work-in-progress documentary SHANGRI-LA about legendary music producer Rick Rubin, screening that same day at 2:45 p.m. at the Paramount Theater.

On Saturday, November 17, the LA Phil will take a deep dive into the experimental and influential Fluxus movement with Fluxconcert, one of the largest Fluxus events ever to be put on by a major symphony orchestra. After announcing new headliners Weezer and Run The Jewels yesterday along with Riot Fest performers Taking Back Sunday, the festival has released the daily schedules and single day/two day tickets, which are on sale now. These artists join headliners Beck and Incubus, alongside Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Young the Giant, Interpol, Blondie, Alkaline Trio, Father John Misty, Jerry Lee Lewis and a cavalcade of incredible acts (full lineup below).  Andrew W.K. is back on the road tonight for his second U.S. tour behind You're Not Alone, his first new album in more than a decade. To magnify the occasion, Andrew has released a new music video for the album's inspirational title track, which debuted this morning at Stereogum. Andrew recently performed the new single and was interviewed on Australia's Tonightly with Tom Ballard.

The metal-god myth himself Danzig will be joining the already-stacked lineup headed to the desert this August for Psycho Las Vegas. Performing Danzig III: How the Gods Kill in its entirety, this appearance is another addition to Psycho's history of hosting mind-blowing, head-banging headlining performances. This will be the only performance of this album in the US this year.
