The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Andrew Levine, Executive Director) Off-Broadway premiere of the tour-de-force musical Love, Linda: The Life of Mrs. Cole Porter starring acclaimed jazz vocalist Stevie Holland will conclude its limited engagement Sunday afternoon, January 5, 2014 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

'The Story of My Life' is a warm, funny, touching reminder of the true value that a special friendship can have, and the unfortunate ease with which we can, and so often do, allow it to fade away. It will entertain and amuse you, but you might well leave the theater as I did - reviewing the texture of half-forgotten relationships.

Amas Musical Theatre (Donna Trinkoff, Artistic Producer) and The Countess of Storyville, LLC will present a developmental workshop of The Countess of Storyville, a new musical by R.M. Cohen (book), Martin Silvestri (music), and Joel Higgins (lyrics). This epic story of lust, love, mystery and murder will feature Tony Award nominee Vivian Reed and Grammy Award nominee Deborah Cox leading a cast of 23. Performances are set to begin on February 12, 2014 at The Peter J. Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) and continue through February 14. Lynne Taylor-Corbett directs.

A NIGHT WITH JANIS JOPLIN, the new Broadway musical, will perform live on 'THE WENDY WILLIAMS SHOW' tomorrow morning, December 10 between 10-11am. Mary Bridget Davies, critically acclaimed for her portrayal of Janis, is joined by Taprena Michelle Augustine, De'Adre Aziza, Nikki Kimbrough, and NaTasha Yvette Williams to perform the show-stopping Act One finale 'Spirit in the Dark.'

Lifelong performer and Tony Award nominee Maurice Hines (Broadway's Sophisticated Ladies and Eubie!) captivates audiences with stories, songs and smooth choreography for his return to Arena Stage at the Mead Center for American Theater with Maurice Hines is Tappin' Thru Life. Under the direction of Tony Award nominee Jeff Calhoun (Broadway's Newsies and Grey Gardens), Hines, who started performing at five years old, brings the history of American tap to life and pays tribute to his brother Gregory and the singers who inspired him, from Frank Sinatra to Lena Horne. A co-production with ALLIANCE THEATRE at the Woodruff and Cleveland Play House, Maurice Hines is Tappin' Thru Life runs tonight, November 15-December 29, 2013 in the Kreeger Theater.
