Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) announces the cast and creative team for He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box, the first new work in a decade from Adrienne Kennedy, whom The New York Times called one of the finest living American playwrights. Set in Georgia and New York City in 1941, He Brought Her Heart Back in a Box is a heartbreaking, nail-biting memory tale of segregation, theatrical yearning, and doomed love.

The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President) is pleased to announce that five theater artists will be honored by the Henry Hewes Design Awards Committee during the presentation of its 2017 Awards in a luncheon ceremony on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.

Dorset Theatre Festival capstones its 40th Anniversary Season with the Regional Revival of American Buffalo by David Mamet. American Buffalo, under the direction of John Gould Rubin (Artistic Director of The Private Theater), runs for a limited engagement of 11 performances between August 24 - September 2, 2017. All performances take place at the Dorset Playhouse, 104 Cheney Road, Dorset.

The Public Theater's world premiere of JOAN OF ARC: INTO THE FIRE, with book, music, and lyrics by David Byrne, and directed by Alex Timbers, with choreography by Steven Hoggett, was recently extended by two weeks through Sunday, April 30, with an official press opening on Wednesday, March 15. The Public Theater announced today a two-week extension for the world premiere musical Joan of Arc: Into the Fire.

Broadway's new ROCKY musical plays its final performance at the Winter Garden Theatre today, August 17th, after 28 previews and 188 regular performances. ROCKY received its world premiere in fall 2012 in Hamburg, Germany, where it continues to play to packed houses. The musical opened on Broadway on March, 13, 2014. Christopher Barreca won the 2014 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Musical for ROCKY. This is Christopher Barreca's first Tony nomination. His past scenic design work on Broadway includes Search and Destroy, Marie Christine, and The Violet Hour.
