Royal George, 1641 N. Halsted, opens its doors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 19th, 2010 in honor of Michael Cullen, owner of the Mercury Theater and Cullen's, and a thirty five-year veteran producer and pioneer in the development of Chicagoland theater as it is known today. Recently suffering from a stroke, Mr. Cullen requires extensive therapy treatments. The entertainment line-up is still to be announced for this event.

Back in the mid-1990s, local singer and actor Deborah Sharn started a talk show about St. Louis theatre on KDHX 88.1 FM, called 'Break a Leg: Theatre in St. Louis and Beyond.'

In the spirit of an eerie October eve in Sleepy Hollow, Visible Theatre presents an evening with the 'master of macabre', Edgar Allan Poe, dramatically performed by television 'Pop Culture Icon' actor John Astin, best known for his role as Gomez Addams in the TV series the Addams Family.

The Johns Hopkins University Theatre will present Sam Shepard's 'Simpatico' over two weekends, Fridays and Saturdays, and Sundays Feb. 27 and 28, and March 1, 6, 7 and 8, in the historic Merrick Barn on the University's Homewood campus, 3400 N. Charles St. in Baltimore.

The Bickford Theatre opens its 14th Season with a starry line-up featuring the talented offspring of two show business greats as it announces complete casting for Maureen Hunter's Transit Of Venus, running Thursday, September 25, through Sunday, October 19.
