Harvard Glee Club to Join LACC's Young Men's Ensemble for Performance at Altadena Community Church, 1/17

The Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC) begins the New Year with a bang when its Young Men's Ensemble (YME), conducted by Dr. Steven Kronauer, is featured in a joint performance with the acclaimed Harvard Glee Club, America's oldest collegiate choir, under the director of Andrew Clark, at Altadena Community Church on Friday, January 17, 2014, 8 pm. The choirs perform individually and jointly in a concert presented by the Pasadena Master Chorale.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC), conducted by Music Director Grant Gershon, continues its year-long 50th anniversary season celebration with back-to-back performances of Orff's Carmina Burana, one of the most popular choral works of the 20th century, featuring Chorale member Timothy Gonzales, tenor, and noted guest artists Stacey Tappan, a "mellifluous" soprano (Wall St. Journal), Jose Adan Perez, a "glorious baritone" (Bach Track), and the ever-polished Los Angeles Children's Chorus on Saturday, November 2, 2013, 2 pm, and Sunday, November 3, 2013, 7 pm, at Disney Hall. Verdi's lush Te Deum, for double chorus and orchestra with roots in polyphony and Gregorian chant, opens the program.

Attorney Jennifer C. Terry has been named Chair of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC), one of the world's foremost children's choirs. The La Canada resident has served on LACC's Board of Directors since 2009 and is parent of two LACC choristers. A partner in the Labor & Employment group at the law firm Arent Fox LLP in Los Angeles, Terry succeeds Joanne Crawford-Duner.
