The Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC) begins the New Year with a bang when its Young Men's Ensemble (YME), conducted by Dr. Steven Kronauer, is featured in a joint performance with the acclaimed Harvard Glee Club, America's oldest collegiate choir, under the director of Andrew Clark, at Altadena Community Church on Friday, January 17, 2014, 8 pm. The choirs perform individually and jointly in a concert presented by the Pasadena Master Chorale.

The repertoire includes Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols, Friday Afternoons and selections from his extensive collection of folksong settings, as well as a selection of English carols and cathedral anthems from Sir David Willc*cks, John Rutter and others.

Pasadena's most sought-after holiday concert usually sells out before the turkey hits the table on Thanksgiving. This year, the Pasadena Symphony's treasured Holiday Candlelight Concert will be performed twice to meet community demand on December 14, 2013 at 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm at the architecturally exquisite and acoustically sonorous All Saints Church. Pasadena's equivalent of a classic European cathedral is the home of this highly anticipated concert with conductor Grant Cooper and special guests including soprano Lisa Vroman, a full chorus of the Donald Brinegar Singers, the Los Angeles Children's Chorus, and the LA Bronze hand bell choir in this festive concert of traditional and diverse holiday melodies performed by candlelight - an aural respite that is sure to summon the spirit of the season.

The Los Angeles Master Chorale (LAMC), conducted by Music Director Grant Gershon, continues its year-long 50th anniversary season celebration with back-to-back performances of Orff's Carmina Burana, one of the most popular choral works of the 20th century, featuring Chorale member Timothy Gonzales, tenor, and noted guest artists Stacey Tappan, a "mellifluous" soprano (Wall St. Journal), Jose Adan Perez, a "glorious baritone" (Bach Track), and the ever-polished Los Angeles Children's Chorus on Saturday, November 2, 2013, 2 pm, and Sunday, November 3, 2013, 7 pm, at Disney Hall. Verdi's lush Te Deum, for double chorus and orchestra with roots in polyphony and Gregorian chant, opens the program.

Attorney Jennifer C. Terry has been named Chair of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Children's Chorus (LACC), one of the world's foremost children's choirs. The La Canada resident has served on LACC's Board of Directors since 2009 and is parent of two LACC choristers. A partner in the Labor & Employment group at the law firm Arent Fox LLP in Los Angeles, Terry succeeds Joanne Crawford-Duner.

The ceremony will honor Hall of Fame inductees and sponsors and features inductee, Astronaut Buzz Aldrin. A series of other media events follow at the Trenton Statehouse on June 25, the Atlantic City Air Show on June 26, and the Thomas Edison National Historical Park on June 27.

Poet Ken Donaldson forays into the world of children's fiction with his newly published colorful picture book titled, The Mouse's Diary. The book is the first volume of a series of storybooks born out of Donaldson's passion to entertain and educate young readers. In this first story, he warps readers into a magical place and time where he rekindles children's spirit of adventure as well as their imagination and creativity.
