The New York Times is reporting that despite a statement last Friday made by producers of Broadway's THE MIRACLE WORKER in which it was expressed that the show was in danger of closing early, producer David Richenthal has indicated that ticket sales will continue for now.

The starry cast of THE MIRACLE WORKER have recently got to work on the production, which begins performances on Friday, February 12 at the Circle in the Square Theatre on Broadway. The show, starring Abigail Breslin, Allison Pill, Matthew Modine, Jennifer Morrison and Elizabeth Franz officially opens on March 3, 2010.

As the blockbuster musical Wicked celebrates the one-year anniversary of its San Francisco production, three of its female stars will appear for a special evening on January 25 of conversation and song at the Museum of Performance & Design (MPD). Teal Wicks (Elphaba) and Kendra Kassebaum (Glinda) will perform selections from the score, and together with Patty Duke (Madame Morrible) will discuss their experience in this new Broadway classic, back in the city where it began. The evening will be moderated by MPD Curator of Exhibitions and Programs Brad Rosenstein, and will include an opportunity for audience questions.
