Carly Ozard, voted 'Best Cabaret Performer 2009', presents six diverse showcases and will co-host four evenings of open mics featuring talented performers from professional Bay Area musical theatres and groups including 42nd Street Moon, Lamplighters, The SF Gay Men's Chorus and vocal artists from the local cabaret and performance oeuvre. This is part of the SOMETHING C.O.O.L. - THE SUMMER CABARET FESTIVAL, which runs MAY 27 - JUNE 27, 2010. All shows are at the Eureka Theatre - 215 Jackson St. in SF 94102.

Beginning back on May 27th and concluding on June 27th, the Something C.O.O.L. Summer Cabaret Festival features a diverse array of cabaret offerings in a 5-week series of performances. The Festival is comprised of diverse offerings by the Bay Area's hardest-working musical theatre performers and features salon evenings, adult-oriented burlesque, and time-honored cabaret performances. The Festival takes place at the Eureka Theatre at 215 Jackson St. (btwn. Battery & Front Sts.).

This year's Critics Circle Awards, sponsored by Actor's Equity Association, today announced is nominees for excellence in San Francisco Bay area theater. Berkeley Rep's production of American Idiot, which played in the fall of 2009, leads with 12 nominations and will open on Broadway this spring.

NCTC's Summer Cabaret Series continues with Tom Orr in A Crass Act. The show previews August 27 and 28, opens Saturday, August 29th and runs through September 12, 2009: Thursdays through Saturdays at 8pm. All performances will take place at The New Conservatory Theatre Center (Theatre 3), located at 25 Van Ness Ave. near Market St. in San Francisco, 94102.
