Cirque du Soleil opened it's celebrated new production tribute to the life and music of Elvis Presley: Viva ELVIS on December 18, 2009. The show, directed by choreographer Vincent Paterson, runs at the new ARIA Resort & Casino at CityCenter in Las Vegas. Last week, Broadway star Brent Barrett took in the show and visited the cast backstage following the performance.

Cirque du Soleil executives have revealed the name of its highly anticipated new production tribute to the life and music of Elvis Presley: Viva ELVIS. The show will be directed by choreographer Vincent Paterson, and will run at the new ARIA Resort & Casino at CityCenter in Las Vegas. Performances begin on December 18.

Tuesday was another of MGM Mirage's days to show off their new City Center complex. But the day's main attraction was Viva Elvis, the new Cirque du Soleil offering in the Aria Hotel and Casino. This show follows in the spirit of Love, Cirque's Beatles piece and was, those at the press conference today said, three years in the making.
