???????Edinburgh International Festival today unveiled its 2017 programme which marks the event's 70th anniversary. This year's International Festival runs from Friday 4 to Monday 28 August, welcoming 2,020 artists from 40 nations to perform in Scotland's capital city.

Festival General Director Nigel Redden announces the program for the 40th annual Spoleto Festival USA, taking place May 27 through June 12, 2016 in Charleston, South Carolina.

Celebrated Beckett interpreter Barry McGovern returns to Center Theatre Group following his memorable performance in 2012 as Vladimir in the acclaimed production of 'Waiting for Godot' at the Mark Taper Forum (LADCC Awards, Best Revival and Best Ensemble; Ovation Award Best Production and Best Ensemble). For the first time in Los Angeles, McGovern will perform in his tour-de-force, one-man show, 'I'll Go On' by Samuel Beckett in the Gate Theatre production presented at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, today, January 10 through February 9, 2014. Beckett at the Festival is a season of theatre performances and film showings at the 2013 Edinburgh International Festival 2013 focussing on the work of Samuel Beckett.

There have been a number of changes and additions to the programme for Edinburgh Festival 2013 since the launch in March. The Festival has announced the casts for Gate Theatre Dublin's productions of Eh Joe and First Love.

Three world premieres, seven productions in all, are scheduled for the 10th season at the Douglas. The works range from a new rock musical to a sweeping new drama to a masterful interpretation of the works of Beckett, plus the bonus option of The Second City's one-of-a-kind Christmas show. In addition, three Los Angeles solo artists will be presented in the popular DouglasPlus program, and will represent CTG in the Radar L.A. festival.

The Cools, a social shopping site known for its offline Jamboree events, will hold a Cyber Monday Jamboree on November 26 at the Dream Downtown in New York City. The event will serve to debut 26 exclusive holiday collaboration products which will be available on the site over the coming weeks leading up to the holiday season. The 26 product installations will be celebrated with a concert by American rapper and a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon.

It seems an easy acting assignment; sit at a table in the dark, wait for the lights to come up full, gather your thoughts, eat a banana or two, explore the limits of your playing area, bring out a few properties from the wings, including an old tape recorder, and then sit, listen, react and comment on what you hear on the tape until, finally, the lights fade to black.
