As the days become shorter and the crisp air signals the time when the Xmas sweaters are taken out of mothballs, it can only mean one thing. It's time for what has become a San Francisco tradition - the annual production of The Golden Girls: The Christmas Episodes.  Performance Dates are Nov. 29 - Dec. 23, 2018 - 19 performances only! Thurs. Fri. & Sat. 8:00pm, Sun. 7:00pm with Special Sunday Matinees Dec 9, 16, & 23 at 2:00 pm.

Fifteen years ago (2003) Golden Girls LIVE: On Stage! was created by real life couple Peter Mac and John Mac as a loving tribute in the style of Brady Bunch LIVE. The Macs created a loving drag parody of everyone's favorite sitcom, which played to sold out audiences at the now shuttered Rose's Turn in the West Village. The show uses spot on impersonations of the original Actresses as source material (they play Estelle Getty and Beatrice Arthur respectively) and creates original improv-parody situations to bring the girls back for the reunion fans never got.

The Golden Girls at Roxy's Downtown Wichita Kansas television parody of the original comedy series through March 18, 2018. A nostalgic romp through one of the favorite all-time television shows with a few twists!

On Today, November 3, the Performing Arts Center at 32 Below in New Milford will open 2 By Fierstein: The International Stud (part one of the multiple Tony Award-winning Torch Song Trilogy) and On Tidy Endings (from the award-winning Safe Sex). Both one act plays are written by Connecticut local, Harvey Fierstein.

Direct from NYC, Empire Stage presents the South Florida premiere of Thank You For Being a Friend - A Golden Girls Musical Parody, written and directed by Nick Brennan. This new musical is a parody of the classic 1980's Television sitcom, The Golden Girls.

Just last night, the 8th Annual Lilly Awards Ceremony, which celebrates women of distinction in the American Theater, honored Julie Taymor, Denee Benton, Micki Grant,Toni-Leslie James, Mandy Greenfield, Madison Ferris, and Beanie Feldstein. Stephen Schwartz was this year's Miss Lilly.

Oprah Winfrey, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Stan Lee, Julie Taymor, and other remarkable contributors to the Disney legacy will be honored as official Disney Legends during D23 Expo 2017.

The Golden Girls: The Christmas Episodes will play The Victoria Theatre from December 1-23, 2016.
